Monique is UNCOVER and DISCOVERED

Concept:
To create a series of four portraits (self portrait) images to represent Monique from what she loves to how she is feeling and experiencing right now. In response, to those four images I would create a series of four still life images to capture and symbolise more deeply about Monique.
This would be achieved through creating the following themes to help represent what Monique is right now; these include;
1. What she loves;
Taking photographs

Drinking chia lattes

2. Umotivated;
Unmotivated

so much work to do and feels overwhelmed by how much there is to do.

Time is going too fast

so much to do, so little time

3. Constricted;
Constricted

feels like she is inside a box, separated from her camera and can’t do too much.

Messy Room

when my room is a mess, my mind is a mess.

4. Trapped;
Trapped

She wants to escape but doesn’t know how to get out or where to get out from.

Reflection

It is a reflection on what her life is right now and what is happening too. Her life is focused on studying and getting a diploma in Photo imaging.

  1. Hannah the portrait images of this sequence shows a very strong use of the cameras angle of view to evoke emotion , lighting needs refinement , particularly in the room shot and the still life of the bag and lens etc. a good body of work all up which presents a cohesive portrait of Monique
